With Gameshots, you customize your audio and video settings for your gameplay recordings, if you'd like to:
- Share your clips online but have a slow internet connection. In this case, you can reduce the video quality from 1080p to 720p, as an example.
- Conserve disk space on your desktop/laptop by lowering the video quality of your recordings thus reducing the space each recording takes.
- Mute licensed music to avoid copyright strikes while streaming
- Adjust your audio commentary while you game
- And much more!
To do this:
- Launch Gameshots and select the gear icon located on the left
- Click on the "Capture" tab
- Set video controls or customize them manually
- Choose to enable system sound or microphone and set the levels for each
- Click on "Save changes"
Note: To implement the changed settings, restart the game.
Just follow the detailed steps and illustrations below to get started.

- FPS: This allows you to adjust the FPS of your recording.
You can also access "Advanced settings" which lets you decide the:
- Encoder: Allows you to choose your GPU or iGPU-based codec for improved system performance.
- Preset: Adjust your CPU/GPU usage according to your system's capability. A higher CPU/GPU usage will result in better recording quality.
